[Impact]
A race when setting xattrs will cause an OOB write, leading to a crash.

[Test case]
A syzkaller reproducer was used to test it. All fixed kernels pass. The
test also ends up exercising the changed code.

[Potential regression]
ext4 filesystems may be corrupt or system crashes related to ext4 might happen.
