Sorry but I need to agree with Juerg on this. I know we are probably in a rush
to get a kernel in -proposed for testing but we can't ignore the process for
the stable kernels. The changes won't regress any arm64 users as this is
new, but this patchset doesn't contain arm64-only code, it touches common areas
meaning it has potential regression for the already supported arches and the
comments made by Juerg are relevant for future code maintainability.
