This is now upstream as 148ebf548a1af366fc797fcc7d03f0bb92b12a79, so I did a
cherry pick of that patch when applying to groovy instead. And I adjusted the
commit message of the patch we had for focal accordingly.
This is one of those cases why waiting a little before asking for SRU into the
distro kernels might be helpful. The patch got upstream with cc:stable, so might
have been part of all the things that get picked up anyway. ;)
