cycle: 27-Apr through 17-May (3 weeks)
====================================================================
22-Apr Last day for kernel commits for this cycle.
27-Apr - 01-May Kernel prep week.
04-May - 15-May Bug verification & Regression testing.
18-May Release to -updates.
Apologies for the late announcement. Most kernels were already in proposed at
the beginning of this week. However, Focal and Eoan had to be re-spun to address
a crash in overlayfs. This will unfortunately also require to respin all kernels
which are derived from either 5.4 or 5.3. At the time of writing this email, it
looks like the new main and hwe kernels(*) are still waiting on getting fully
synced into proposed, but they are built already.
We also have a report about an issue in bionic which affects user-space packages
which depend on linux-libc-dev. To fix this the main bionic kernel(**) has to
be re-spun. As a work-around it is possible to check /usr/include/asm-generic/swab.h
and replace BITS_PER_LONG with __BITS_PER_LONG.
