With kernel 5.3 in Eoan a new feature called thin provisioning for DASD devices got introduced.
It turned out that may cause potential data corruption.
Hence it got on short notice disabled (reverted) in Eoans kernel 5.3 (this is already done),
but this upstream accepted patch now fixes it for Focals kernel 5.4.
