Next Kernel SRU cycles schedule

Hi everyone,

Following are the planned schedule for the next kernel SRU cycles.
Please read
carefully the notes, since they will be affected by the holiday season and
Ubuntu 18.04.2 point release.


cycle: 03-Dec through 20-Dec

         28-Nov   Last day for kernel commits for this cycle.
03-Dec - 07-Dec   Kernel prep week.
10-Dec - 19-Dec   Bug verification & Regression testing.
         20-Dec   Release to -updates.

Notes:
- As already stated in a previous note, because this cycle would
normally end
  during the week that everybody will be away on holidays, we will move the
  release date to a Thursday and also limit changes to CVEs and critically
  important bug fixes.
- There won't be any SRU cycle between 20-Dec and 14-Jan.


cycle: 14-Jan through 03-Feb

         11-Jan   Last day for kernel commits for this cycle.
14-Jan - 18-Jan   Kernel prep week.
21-Jan - 01-Feb   Bug verification & Regression testing.
         31-Jan   Release of kernels for 18.04.02 to -updates:
                  bionic/linux, bionic/linux-hwe, bionic/linux-raspi2
         04-Feb   Release of remaining kernels to -updates.

Notes:
- The "last day for kernel commits" cut off date was moved to Friday so we
  have enough time for fixes for eventual issues found during the holidays.
- Ubuntu 18.04.2 point release is scheduled for 2019-02-07.


cycle: 04-Feb through 24-Feb
