Sorry for the confusion. This patch is really for Xenial distro
kernel. When the Launchpad bug was opened few months ago, we did not
anticipate to also need this fix for xenial kernel, until we were
informed a few days ago.

I just tried to nominate Xenial to the LP bug, but Xenial is no longer
an option :(
