[Impact]
When TBT ICM firmware is not running properly, it may crash the kernel.

[Fix]
Protect against cases when ICM is not set.

[Test]
User confirmed the additional patch works.

[Regression Potential]
Low. It adds a simple logic to avoid NULL dereference.
