Support i.mx6 DualLite with armhf architecture

Hi @all,

I'm quite new in running Ubuntu armhf on i.MX6 based boards and I got
following problem: I started development with an i.Mx6 Solo based board
which runs the Ubuntu armhf Kernel out of the box. Because of
performance reasons I switched to an i.MX 6 Dual Lite based board. The
Ubuntu armhf kernel does not work at all and I detected that the kernel
config option for I.MX6 Dual Lite is not set. After activating the
kernel option, the kernel works without problems, as far I can detect.
So my question is why this option is not enabled by default? Is there
special reason about this or do you just need support in testing Ubuntu
on this kind of boards?

Greetings,

André
