[Bionic SRU] [PATCH 0/2] bug fixes to improve stability of the ThunderX2 i2c driver

Please consider these bug fixes to ThunderX2 i2c driver to improve
stability of the driver. The SRU is tracked in
https://launchpad.net/bugs/1781476. I have tested the kernel on
ThunderX2 system and found no regressions, more details are documented
in the bug.

Please review and consider these patches for bionic SRU.
