Sauce patches for stable series should _always_ also be applied to the
development kernel unless there's a good reason not to. That doesn't
seem to be the case here.

Somehow bionic does not have the patch being reverted here. I can cherry
pick patch 3, however patch 2 doesn't apply cleanly to 4.14. Can you
also provide a port of patch 2 for bionic/master-next?
