That is correct, Stefan.  The first patch, commit a13c06525ab9, landed
in mainline in v4.10-rc4, so it's already in Zesty.  However, the second
patch didn't land until v4.12-rc1, so yes it's needed in Zesty.  These
commits were also requested to be in the hwe-edge kernel, which is whey
I added that target.
