This patch is the last one in the patch series documented in the bug
http://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1677685 that fixes kernel crashes.
The patch cherry-picked from upstream was tested by IBM and reported
to work (pls see comments in the bug).

Please review and consider this patch for SRU.
