It's an interesting idea. Although `verify-release-ready` is probably a
good filter to avoid some of the issues to be included in a release, a
checkpatch like tool might catch these problems earlier.
Is there any other checks that might be useful to include? I can work on
an initial version of such tool. One question though, is where should we
keep this tool? It doesn't sound a good idea to keep it in tree as
checkpatch.
