The patch is not needed in Precise since the commit that introduced the
bug was reverted:

e5f9f7b0799 Revert "UBUNTU:SAUCE: mm: remove gup_flags FOLL_WRITE games
from __get_user_pages()"


However, Vivid does in fact needed it.  There are no prereqs for Vivid
and the patch(2/2) applies cleanly.  I have a test build for Vivid going
now just to ensure it is clean.  I'll respond with the build results.
