== SRU Justification ==
It was reported that an X1 Carbon becomes quite laggy and interactive performance
becomes bad after upgrading from Xenial to Yakkety.
After a bisect, it was found that upstream commit 3d30544f introduced the
regression. Upstream created this new patch based on this bug and our
test results.
The patch has been sent upstream, but has not landed in mainline as of yet,
which is why it is being submitted as SAUCE:
