== SRU Justification ==
This request is for Wily only and is to prevent a revert of a revert.  
In Wily commit 01ac170 was reverted by commit 6f786b3.  This introduced 
bug 1549354, which reports the Elantech touchpad stoped working.  
The bug affects several users.  This patch is an amendment to commit 01ac170.

This bug does not affect Xenial since 01ac170ba2 was never reverted.  It
does not affect lts-vivid because commit 01ac170ba2 was applied per bug 1562778. 

Commit 01ac170 landed in mainline as of v4.5-rc1.  I also requested this commit in 
upstream stable v4.3.y-ckt.
