Suspend having "core" in /sys/power/pm_test works fine but real suspend always leads to clean boot immediately

I have installed Ubuntu 15.10 to my laptop Asus N550JQ. Everything looks
fine except the suspend/hibernate does not work at all. I have spend some
time in debugging the suspend into memory and all tests were working fine
except the final suspend/resume does not work at all and always leads
immediately into clean boot (over bios screen).
The steps to test the suspend I have done are:
1.) echo freezer > /sys/power/pm_test
2.) echo mem > /sys/power/state
3.) dmesg | less
All the above steps were working fine for all of "freezer", "devices",
"platform", "processors" and "core". Except it does not work for "none" and
real suspend/resume goes immediately into new system boot.
I can provide any diagnostic data if requested, the problem is always
reproducible.
Do you have any idea what could be wrong here?
How should I fetch the relevant data of what get wrong as it seems that
when something went wrong the system restarts and most likely no relevant
data from the real problem are available easily.
Thanks!
