== Wily SRU Justification ==
The Max MTU limit should be 9978.  Commit 50a9eea was applied to mainline in v4.4-rc2. 

Commit 50a9eea adds a fix for commit facc969, which was added to mainline in v4.2-rc1. 
That is how this bug was introduced in to Wily and the linux-lts-wily kernels.  This 
fix is only needed in Wily and it's HWE kernel(I confirmed facc969 has been applied to linux-lts-wily).  
Commit 50a9eea is a clean cherry-pick.  The fix was not cc'd to stable, so I'll request it in the 
upstream 4.2 stable kernel as well.

A test kernel was built with this patch and tested by the original bug reporter.
The bug reporter states the test kernel resolved the bug.
