[3.16.y-ckt stable] Patch "ethtool: Use kcalloc instead of kmalloc for ethtool_get_strings" has been added to staging queue

This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

    ethtool: Use kcalloc instead of kmalloc for ethtool_get_strings

to the linux-3.16.y-queue branch of the 3.16.y-ckt extended stable tree 
which can be found at:

    http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/linux.git/log/?h=linux-3.16.y-queue

This patch is scheduled to be released in version 3.16.7-ckt19.

Subject: ethtool: Use kcalloc instead of kmalloc for ethtool_get_strings

commit 077cb37fcf6f00a45f375161200b5ee0cd4e937b upstream.

It seems that kernel memory can leak into userspace by a
kmalloc, ethtool_get_strings, then copy_to_user sequence.

Avoid this by using kcalloc to zero fill the copied buffer.
