BugLink: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1508510

This reverts commit bf4ffb2c9e3db31d0e4dc0e628526ff10eb333f5, which
was commit 89c22d8c3b278212eef6a8cc66b570bc840a6f5a upstream.

A fix is being discussed upstream as stable kernels < 3.19 are impacted.
