This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

to the linux-3.16.y-queue branch of the 3.16.y-ckt extended stable tree
which can be found at:

 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.16.y-queue

This patch is scheduled to be released in version 3.16.7-ckt7.

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please

Subject: hyperv: Fix the error processing in netvsc_send()

commit d953ca4ddf71aa91a4596b2ff7ff1598f6ad4708 upstream.

The existing code frees the skb in EAGAIN case, in which the skb will be
retried from upper layer and used again.
Also, the existing code doesn't free send buffer slot in error case, because
there is no completion message for unsent packets.
This patch fixes these problems.

(Please also include this patch for stable trees. Thanks!)
