But vivid is a different kernel version, and new firmware versions
sometimes require kernel changes aside from simply bumping the version.
I'd like to see an ack from Intel that this should work without any
additional driver updates.
You also didn't really seem to address Andy's question about the bredth
of testing. New ucode sometimes introduces regressions, so this should
be tested with various affected adapters and various network setups.
If all of this checks out okay, I see no reason that this shouldn't also
be applied to the 3.13.y stable kernel.
