[Kubuntu]not sound available

I do not have sound with linux linux-image-3.13.0-24-generic. As I have seen that you 
are the manager of this linux version I sure you are the best to tell me what is wrong.

I do not think this is related to kde. Kmix does not shox any sound card available which 
is connected, I a m sure.

There is probably a communication problem between alsa, pulse, phonon applications.

I collect this error message about alsa:
ALSA lib pulse.c:243:(pulse_connect) PulseAudio: Unable to connect: Connexion 
refusée

I wish I could run some basic commands to determine which is the base of the problem.
