Hi Luis,

Thank you for your reply. My kernel version is debian 3.4.26.  My question is how does this path allow the box to remain functional.  After I applying the patch, I see the kern.log's size still growing but not as fast as before.  Will the box be full at this logging rate?

Hi Teresa,

I would guess you have a bug in a network driver.  As the commit text says, this patch simply allows a box to remain functional if a bad offload bug is introduced in the kernel.

I would recommend you to report a new bug so that we can help you with this (simply run 'ubuntu-bug linux' in a console to report a new bug).
