The Raring installation media will never be updated. The next
opportunity to have an updated Raring kernel on an installation media is
going to be the 12.04.3 DVD.

I'm expecting Kamal to announce the first Ubuntu sponsored 3.8.y update
any day now. Perhaps he'll include this patch.
