== Quantal SRU Justification ==


The brcmsmac driver in the Quantal kernel has a bug that causes the driver to generate lots of error messages and slows wifi down.  This bug was caused by setting an invalid power level.  The commit that fixes this bug was added to the mainline kernel as of version 3.6.

Without this patch, wifi performance is poor for the Broadcom Corporation BCM4313.

A test kernel was built with this patch and tested by the original bug reporter.
