I've been queuing a few ceph fixes to the 3.5 kernel and this one
seems to apply cleanly not only to 3.5 but also for 3.2 and 3.4.

Please consider sending a request to the stable mailing list as Tim
suggested (unless you have strong reasons for getting this commit in
3.8 only).
