[ 3.8.y.z extended stable ] Patch "ACPI video: ignore BIOS backlight value for HP dm4" has been added to staging queue

This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

    ACPI video: ignore BIOS backlight value for HP dm4

to the linux-3.8.y-queue branch of the 3.8.y.z extended stable tree 
which can be found at:

 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.8.y-queue

This patch is scheduled to be released in version 3.8.13.3.

Subject: ACPI video: ignore BIOS backlight value for HP dm4

commit 771d09b3c4c45d4d534a83a68e6331b97fd82e15 upstream.

On a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop the BIOS sets minimum backlight on boot,
completely dimming the screen. Ignore this initial value for this
machine.
