Error configuring kernel for localised images

Hi all,

ubuntu-defaults-builder is a program to easily create localised iso
images for ubuntu, with modifications that only make sense in a certain
locale (for example, radio stations).

Creating the 64bit iso for Quantal fails while configuring the kernel,
as reported here
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/quantal/+source/ubuntu-defaults-builder/+bug/1075876 ).

I was hoping someone can help me figure out what is going wrong with the
build, since I don't know anything about the kernel myself.
