This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

drivers/firmware/dmi_scan.c: check dmi version when get

to the linux-3.5.y-queue branch of the 3.5.y.z extended stable tree
which can be found at:

 http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=ubuntu/linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/linux-3.5.y-queue

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please
reply to this email.

Subject: [PATCH] drivers/firmware/dmi_scan.c: check dmi version when get
 system uuid

commit f1d8e614d74b09531b9a85e812485340f3df7b1c upstream.

As of version 2.6 of the SMBIOS specification, the first 3 fields of the
UUID are supposed to be little-endian encoded.

Also a minor fix to match variable meaning and mute checkpatch.pl
