Bug 1169984 about broken HDMI audio: 20 duplicates, and counting...

Hi,

Given the wide-spread impact of bug 1169984 (I'm getting more and more 
duplicates...) I'm wondering how long it'll take until a fix is in the 
proposed and released repositories, and if there's anything to do to 
speed up the process?
