I would get a bug filed in launchpad for this for a start.  When running
with the issue, use ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg-video-intel which will
ensure we get all of the graphics stuff needed with the report.  It will
also get it in front of the X people who may well have more ideas as to
cause.
