It could have rewritten more than the DP support :)

It's in the upstream nouveau kernel tree, and in drm-next queued for
inclusion in 3.2.  I mentioned that on the bug, sorry for not including
that in the email.

I didn't expect this to be appropriate for Oneiric (although I guess OEM
might care and be crackfull enough to take it).  It's mainly an exercise
in documentation and knowledge sharing while I happened to have the
nouveau developer sitting next to me.
