You can get the oneiric kernel directly from the archive, but it won't 
be automatically updated as new versions appear. For example,

wget 
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux/linux-image-3.0-3-generic_3.0-3.4_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i linux-image-3.0-3-generic_3.0-3.4_amd64.deb
