Natty kernel repository

Some of you may have noticed the appearance of the Natty kernel
repository a few weeks ago. I think it is now time to get serious about
the next release since Maverick is pretty well in the can.

git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-natty.git

This is a development kernel which is rebased frequently against Linus'
upstream repository at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git. If
that doesn't make sense to you, then start reading the material at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel, in particular
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev.

The Natty kernel source package won't be uploaded until after the Natty
release pocket opens for business, so you're on your own for building
binaries. That also implies the ABI won't change until we start doing
official uploads. Beware of external modules!

I've created a dropped.txt file in the repo that is a list of the
patches that didn't survive the transition from Maverick (attached here
for your viewing convenience). If there is something in that list that
is important to you, then by all means send a patch to this mailing list.
