Compiling it in also means that you can't "modprobe loop max_loop=(# of 
devices)" to expand the amount of simultaneous loop mounts you can have.

If you need more than the default 8 loop mounts (Xen/KVM servers), you have to 
define max_loop= on the kernel commandline in your bootloader config and reboot.
