Ok, sorry, I think I was not clear.
My question was if in the next release of ubuntu (karmic), the network
namespace is planned to be enabled.

If I am correct the kernel for karmic, is :
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=rtg/ubuntu-karmic/.git;a=summary

And the config is:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git?p=rtg/ubuntu-karmic/.git;a=blob;f=debian.master/config/config.common.ubuntu;h=e23bd51661fb09c228d6668da6ebac414bc9964f;hb=37a227b035d2dacf1572ba5dc5407ef90921fb1d

The CONFIG_NET_NS is enabled in there.

I found this documentation at:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/2.6.30-5-generic-config

Where the CONFIG_NET_NS is enabled too.

Can I assume karmic will have a kernel with the network namespace ?

Thanks
