saa7164 driver not in karmic kernel

Adam,

It is too late in the cycle for karmic to enable new hardware, if you can 
open a bug  we can track this for lucid.

Also, in the mean time you could try 
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and see if the .32-rc1 
mainline build works for you.
