I think I have all the current issues worked out in the mainline builds:

 1) source packages should now contain the source in all cases,
 2) configuration should now be updated correctly allowing i386 to
    build, and
 3) I have temporarily turned off STAGING to work round issues with
    broken drivers.

Let me know (on this list) if you have any other issues.
