Hi:

This patch is a follow up to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/409047 . It fixes
a race condition between when device nodes are created and when they are
actually usable for userspace applications. It's already in Greg's
queue for the next merge window, so it should be landing in 2.6.31
stable updates
(http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/gregkh-2.6/gregkh-04-driver-core/driver-core-add-new-device-to-bus-s-list-before-probing.patch)

Thanks,
