Jaunty Kernel Bug Stats

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to send some interesting kernel bug stats for the Jaunty
cycle.  Just for comparison, at the end of the Intrepid cycle there were
3867 open and 2070 closed kernel bugs (5937 total) [1]. At the end of
our Jaunty cycle there was 5226 open and 4472 closed kernel bugs (9698
total) [2]. As you can see the number of kernel bugs grew by 3761 with
an average of 21.5 bugs being reported per day over the 175 day Jaunty
cycle.  We closed 2402 kernel bugs during this time but there was still
an increase of +1359 open bugs.  I would also like to point out that the
automated apport suspend/resume bug reporting accounted for 680 bugs [3]
of which only 38 were closed [4].  I've also prepared a summary of the
649 kernel bugs that were fixed during the Jaunty cycle [5].  Let me
know if there are any other stats you'd be interested in seeing and I'll
see what I can find.
