Ok, I was wondering, since it may be better to only have this applied in
our -virtual kernel, which is specifically geared for running under
virtual machines anyway (vmware, kvm, qemu, vbox, etc.).

However, since Tim has already pulled them it, we can go ahead with that
route (-virtual will get the changes as well).
