Patches for lirc_mceusb2 and lirc_serial

Kernel Team,

I'm attaching three patches to this bug.  Two of them resolve issues
that were encountered on our bug tracker and on the lirc mailing list.
They have already been included in the main/lirc package.

The third one disables lirc_gpio as its still not working for users, and
a better solution is available via the /dev/input interface instead.
