I appreciate your patches, but we cannot apply them as-is. Please send a
separate patch for each fix, and use the files in
debian/commit-templates/ (specifically the 'patch' one) for your commit
message, like this:
git-update-index ...
git-commit -s -F debian/commit-templates/patch -e
There's a place for bug number reference to launchpad as well. Please
make each patch specific to a certain purpose. Do not commit patches to
debian/changelog (this gets auto-filled based on the UBUNTU line in the
commit-templates, which we do at upload time). Also, make commits to the
config files separate and use the 'updateconfigs' commit template (no
editing needed for this commit, template is complete for just this
purpose).
