EDGY-Kernel - CPU-Speed

hi,

I noticed the following problem:

1. The Box : 	Athlon 64 X2 5000 Processor, Kubuntu EDGY Final
		actual kernel



when i call "cat /proc/cpuinfo it tells me that 2 CPUs are present and
are running with 1000MHz
but, they should run with 2500Mhz each. (at best)

is there a feature/bug/option which causes that ??
