i downloaded from the mentioned link hoary-live-i386.iso
but what is gooing on when i want to burn one CD?
the file has a size of around 491MB and when the copying (extracting) of the files
starts, after one minute the message comes, that the CD-R (700MB) does not have
enough space to burn everything. i did the burning under Windows XP, as the DVD/
CD-RW-Drive (HITACHI DK23DA-20) i have, is only working as a CD-ROM-Drive under
ubuntu. there is no burning possible:
mount: block device /dev/hdc is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdc,
or too many mounted file systems
the drive is mentioned in fstab as follows:
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
i once tried to make 'ro' to 'rw', but no change at all. silly, isn't it?
any help on that possible, too?
