To clarify comment #55:  This new backlight control mechanism is still
considered "experimental".  Matthew Garrett has proposed the core
patches to the intel-gfx and linux-kernel groups, where they are still
pending review.  I will continue to report changes to the status of the
patches here.

@Tito - Glad to hear that it works on your Lenovo IdeaPad Z360.  Please
do be sure to post whether or not the second parameter is actually
needed for that model.
