Binary package hint: initramfs-tools

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx on a USB stick, trying it out before committing to a full install.
I tried activating the 'NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current)' as recommended by Ubuntu. The process failed, spawning this error reporting process.
'Hardware Drivers' now reports that the driver is activated but not currently in use.
Running on a HP Pavilion dv600 laptop. Graphics appear to be working fine for normal use.
