Public bug reported:

The touchpad in Dell Latitude E4310 not detected by kernel. I have no
Touchpad tab in Mouse settings. Features such as double scroll and side
scroll don't work. There's no touchpad in /proc/bus/input/devices.
Therefore I assume it's a kernel issue. I have the latest and updated
Lucid Lynx.

As described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection I'm
attaching the output of the following commands:

$ cat /proc/bus/input/devices > devices
$ xinput --list > xinput
$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log > Xorg.0.log

And the following:

$ uname -a > uname-a.log
$ cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
$ dmesg > dmesg.log
$ sudo lspci -vnvn > lspci-vnvn.log

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
